I have been a practicing computer technician since 2000, MCP certified, with particular focus on the end-user experience. While I repair computers, my business strategy is different from most companies: I want to "teach you how to fish" rather than just "sell you the fish". That's not to say I plan to make everyone into a technician, but I hope to equip users with just enough tools and knowledge that 90% of the common problems don't ever become a problem.
The service charge is $60/hr max, charged in 1/2 hr increments, with a discount in rate for long-duration service calls and training. Services are all done on-site, with some exceptions*, and include but are not limited to:
- Diagnostics and consulting
- Training
- Virus/Spyware/Adware/clutter/etc removal
- Networking
- Upgrades and repairs
- Setup/install (both computer and home theater)
An additional travel time charge, charged at the $60/hr rate, will be added to any service call West of Surrey or East of Aldergrove.
*Major hardware upgrades/repairs, and intensive virus cleanups, are generally better done in-shop*
